Madison, originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, has always had a deep-rooted passion for animals. Growing up with a cat and fish as pets, her love for creatures of all kinds was evident from an early age. Madison’s family’s frequent travels exposed her to various zoos across the country, further nurturing her fascination with animals. As a child, Madison would often play with a toy stethoscope and wear a miniature white coat, role-playing as a veterinarian with her stuffed animals. This early interest wasn’t just child’s play; it was the foundation of her future profession.

During her high school years, Madison took proactive steps towards her goal by shadowing at several veterinary clinics. This hands-on experience provided her with valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of animal healthcare. Her commitment continued through her undergraduate years at Purdue University.

Madison’s undergraduate journey at Purdue University was marked by diverse experiences. In addition to her clinical work, she engaged in research with dairy cows, broadening her understanding of large animal medicine and the intricate relationship between animal health and agriculture. She graduated from Purdue in 2021, equipped with a solid foundation in animal science and a wealth of practical experience.

Currently, Madison is pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. With an expected graduation date of May 2025.

During her externship, Madison is eager to explore the Las Vegas Strip, work with exotic animals, and learn from experienced doctors about handling a diverse range of animal species.

In her spare time, Madison enjoys reading, spending time with family, friends, and her two cats, Leo and Persefani.

As Madison continues her journey towards becoming a veterinarian, she remains committed to lifelong learning, compassionate animal care, and making a positive impact in the field of veterinary medicine.
