Lone Mountain Animal Hospital has an externship program for currently enrolled 3rd and 4th-year veterinary medical students.
Lone Mountain Animal Hospital is a large multi-doctor, AAHA accredited, practice located in the northwest Las Vegas Valley that provides high-quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, and exotics, with a focus on customer service. Our program includes on-site housing with our sister location, Craig Road Animal Hospital, as well as a weekly stipend and transportation to Lone Mountain Animal Hospital. Professional mentoring and working in a busy, progressive hospital are integral to our extern program.
The hospital is equipped with digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, laser surgery and therapy, an in-house laboratory, a surgical suite, special boarding created for exotics, and a paperless medical records computer system. With a dedicated and professional staff, Lone Mountain Animal Hospital also provides an excellent and supportive working environment.
In addition to the benefits of working at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital, living in the heart of Southern Nevada offers hiking and camping at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Mt. Charleston, and Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Las Vegas is also a short drive away from popular attractions in California, Arizona, and Utah.
