Licensed Veterinary Technician
Blake
Originally from Overton, Nevada, Blake’s love for animals started at a young age. She grew up with a diverse array of animals including horses, cows, reptiles, cats, and dogs.
At the age of 18, Blake ventured beyond her hometown to explore the landscapes of Utah and Northern Nevada.
During her journey, she took on a multitude of roles, including positions in sales. During her time in Ely, Nevada, a distressing incident involving her own dog, injured by another dog, revealed an unfortunate reality when the local vet was unable to provide immediate assistance. Blake was compelled to do everything in her power to keep her dog alive until she could find a vet capable of treating him. It was this pivotal moment that ignited her passion to help others facing similar predicaments.
In 2017, her journey led her to Las Vegas, where she embarked on a new chapter of her life by pursuing her education.
The transition to Las Vegas was nothing short of a culture shock for Blake. Having grown up in a town without bright lights and stop signs, where traffic consisted of tractors rather than cars, adapting to the bustling cityscape was a challenge. As she evolves in her career as a vet technician, Blake is beginning to recognize the multitude of opportunities that Las Vegas offers.
Before moving to Las Vegas, Blake volunteered at a camel safari and is now actively seeking opportunities to volunteer her time and continue her work with animals in the area.
When she’s not immersed in her work or volunteer efforts, Blake enjoys quality time with her cherished companions, including October, a long-haired cat, Wednesday Adams, a sleek black cat, and Mya, a friendly red-nosed Pitbull.
