Welcome our newest extern at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital: Megan!
Originally from Long Island, New York, Megan states she knew she wanted to be a vet since before she even knew how to say the word “…its something that has always been innately there for me.” she said of veterinary medicine.
Megan received her Biology degree from St. John’s University in Queen, New York. She then worked as a veterinary technician for a couple of years before enrolling in Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary
Medicine. “I had never really left New York before,” she said, “it was nice to have the opportunity to branch out without being too far [from home].
Growing up Megan was always surrounded by dogs. However, she jumped at the chance of owning her own cat, a Cornish Rex named Jasper, as soon as she could.
Outside of her passion for animals, Megan has a love for the outdoors. She enjoys hikes, the beach, and yoga. “I just want to be outside,” she states. Megan is excited to experience all the outdoor activities and sunshine Las Vegas has to offer.
