Stewart is an incredible goose who was rescued from Lorenzi Park and brought to a nonprofit animal sanctuary at the end of July 2024 after being abandoned in a local park. When he arrived, he had a significant tumor on his wing, which required a blood transfusion and a partial wing amputation to aid his recovery.
Dr. Parker and the staff at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital quickly contacted the rescue Raise The Bar-N to find a suitable match for the blood transfusion. Luckily, Ray Ray the goose was available to donate blood for Stewart. Stewart’s adaptability and fight for life, which shone through as he recovered from his procedure, makes him an inspiring ambassador for dumped waterfowl in the Las Vegas valley.
As he heals from surgery, the people at the nonprofit are eager to discover his unique personality and witness the resilience that defines his spirit.
A few fun facts about Stewart: he loves playing in the water, eating grass, and watching cartoons while he recovers from surgery. His favorite treat is watermelon. If you are curious to learn more about Stewart, check him out on these Facebook pages: @3hotchicks and Instagram @tenderlovingcoops.
