Born and raised in Iowa, Hope developed a lifelong passion for animals, despite not having any pets as a child. Her interest was sparked at a young age by watching shows on Animal Planet.
During high school, Hope was a dedicated athlete, but her dream of becoming a veterinarian never wavered. She attended Northwest Missouri State University for her undergraduate studies, and it was during this time that she shadowed at a veterinary clinic. One day, just as the clinic was about to close, the clinic’s cat was attacked by a dog. Hope assisted in saving the cat and treating its injured leg. This incident confirmed her love for veterinary medicine and reassured her that she was on the right career path.
Hope is currently a student at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, anticipating graduation in May 2026.
During her externship, she’s looking forward to hands-on experience with exotic animals and learning more about interpreting blood and liver work.
In her spare time, Hope likes playing video games, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. Although she doesn’t have any pets at the moment, she dreams of owning a snake someday.
