Please welcome Danielle, one of the newest externs to join the family at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital!
Danielle is from Crown point, Indiana and, for as long as she could remember, she wanted to become a vet.
Danielle obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Purdue University and is currently in her 4th year of veterinary school. Danielle has a deep interest for exotic and zoo animals. She has volunteered at the Black Pines Animal Sanctuary, in Wildlife rehabilitation and in a South African wildlife capture and relocation program.
Lone Mountain Animal Hospital’s Purdue Student Representative, Sarah, was who informed Danielle about the externship program. Danielle is looking forward to enjoying the west coast and learning from the vets and vet techs while on her externship. “I love exotic animals and am very excited to see companion exotic animal medicine and surgery,” she said.
In her spare time, Danielle likes knitting, cooking, kayaking and exploring new towns. On some days, she simply enjoys sitting by a bonfire and drinking some bourbon.
