Anna’s upbringing in a military family, split between North Carolina and Connecticut, shaped her resilient and adaptable nature. Her journey with animals began with Shadow, a 3-month-old puppy that her parents gifted her when she was seven years old. As she grew up, her love for animals flourished through volunteer work and regular visits to animal shelters with her mother. These experiences established a foundation that would shape her future.

During her undergraduate years, Anna explored human medicine through volunteering at hospitals. However, her true calling emerged when she changed paths and started working at a small animal hospital, an experience that certainly had its challenges. The intensity of working at this hospital not only confirmed her dedication to veterinary medicine but also broadened her skillset significantly.

A pivotal point in Anna’s journey came when she had the opportunity to shadow a wildlife veterinarian in New Jersey. This experience took her to rehabilitation facilities, where she participated in the treatment of owls, the tagging of paragon falcons, and much more.

Anna attends University of Pennsylvania’s College of Veterinary Medicine and is on track to graduate in May of 2025.

In her leisure time, Anna enjoys a variety of activities including, hiking, crocheting, and playing video games. However, the heart of her leisure moments lies in the companionship of her dogs, Lucas and Cassie, whose presence brings a sense of joy and relaxation to her busy life.
