Lily, originally from Southern California, moved to Northern Texas with her family after graduating high school, and she graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Currently, she is attending Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Growing up, Lily always planned on being a human doctor, but her love for animals was always there. She begged her mother for many years for a pet and was given the best surprise ever when her parents finally got her a dog, Daisy, after she completed 6th grade. During high school, her family had both freshwater fish and saltwater fish, and this experience sparked her interest in aquatic animals.

In the middle of her undergraduate career, Lily started volunteering at an animal shelter and loved being with the animals so much that she decided to switch from the pre-medicine to pre-veterinary track. She shadowed at several different veterinary clinics where she became interested in surgery. She did an aquatic animal internship at the Cameron Park Zoo, caring for and training the animals in both the saltwater and freshwater aquariums, and this grew her interest in exotic animal medicine. She also worked as a kennel technician in a full-service veterinary hospital to get experience in a veterinary setting. Afterwards, she worked as a veterinary technician in a high-volume spay/neuter clinic for a year, growing her clinical skills. These experiences, in addition to volunteering at multiple animal shelters over those years, all confirmed to Lily that veterinary medicine was her passion.

In her free time, Lily loves to serve at her church, crochet, read, and hang out with her friends. She also loves baking and trying new recipes. What keeps Lily motivated in the challenging pursuit of becoming a veterinarian is her amazing family who is always there to support her, the encouragement that she receives consistently from her friends from her church, and of course, her love for animals. She is so grateful for all the amazing people in her life who keep her motivated!
